In order to provide better quality and efficient services, improve the ship applicability of BOS products, COSCO(WEIHAI) successfully held the 2021 Seminar on BOS BWMS from July 27 to 30. Nearly 100 ship management personnel and crew representatives from more than 50 domestic and foreign shippers, such as China COSCO Shipping Group, China Merchants Group, Salvage Bureau of the Ministry of Transport, and so on were invited to attend the seminar.

The participants in this activity, through three parts like technology presentation、practical operation demonstration of workshop equipment、group discussion, had in-depth communication and discussion on interpretation of convention, operation and maintenance analysis of BOS BWMS and other new marine products of BOS series.

In the part of technology presentation, the technical staff of COSCO(WEIHAI) give a vivid explanation which combined with the latest convention requirements, as well as some details and important matters in the process of ballast water equipment maintenance, the content won the unanimous praise of the guests. In recent years, based on energy-saving and environment-protection, COSCO(WEIHAI) has created other new marine products of BOS series, including shore power system, air conditioning sterilization unit, rapid detection equipment for plankton in ballast water, etc. Participants have shown strong interest and cooperation intention in new products. An owner from Shanghai said, he was very appreciated COSCO(WEIHAI) can produce air-conditioning sterilizing unit from the perspective of caring for seafarers, it is of great significance for the prevention and control of the epidemic and respiratory diseases, as well as the improvement of seafarers' living environment and the maintenance of seafarers' health, fully reflects the social responsibility of COSCO(WEIHAI) as a Chinese central State-owned enterprises.

In the part of workshop equipment demonstration, COSCO(WEIHAI) after-sales service personnel conducted detailed operation demonstration and illustration for common problems and troubleshooting of ballast water system. It played an important role in guiding the rapid troubleshooting of subsequent ships.

In the final group discussion, the participants actively spoke up the using experience of BOS products, fully affirmed the improvement and investment of COSCO(WEIHAI) in equipment optimization and upgrading.

In recent years, COSCO(WEIHAI) closely track the usage of  delivery products, actively carry out product adaptability research work, aiming at the problems found in operation, take the initiative to provide practical solutions to customers, successively completed a number of key improvements, enhance the stability of the equipment, reduce the operating and maintenance costs of the shipowner.

This conference is the 4th BOS product seminar which held by COSCO(WEIHAI) since 2019. In order to prevent and control the epidemic during the conference, the staff confirmed the historical itinerary information with all the invited guests in advance, handed out masks and monitored the temperature during the conference, and disinfected the venue every day.

The successful holding of this seminar further deepened customers’trust and understanding on COSCO(WEIHAI). COSCO(WEIHAI) will keep value - oriented concept, put the quality and the ship applicability of products first, actively expand and improve our global service network, continue to optimize the product, strive to provide better service for customers.
